Clinton Keeling/Ashover Zoological Gardens

I am presently accumulating information and material to see if enough is available for me to write a biography of the zoologist Clinton H Keeling (1932-2007) who created and ran Ashover Zoological Gardens in Derbyshire from 1955 to 1971 and visited countless schools throughout the country with his animals.  I would be delighted to hear from anyone who may have reminiscences, photographs or any other relevant information.

My major new biography

After seven years research and writing my latest biography ‘My darling Mr Asquith – the extraordinary life and times of Venetia Stanley’ is now published and has already received praise from such eminent historians and biographers as Philip Ziegler and John Julius Norwich. John Julius was unequivocal: ‘My darling Mr Asquith is a masterpiece…’     It tells the remarkable story of the woman known to the world only as the intimate confidante of Prime Minister H H Asquith.  In reality she lived an amazing life, knowing everyone who was worth knowing in the social and political world of the first half of the twentieth century and with one of her lovers, was among the pioneers of long distance aviation.
